HOPs tension meter for band saw blade (TensHOPs)
This instrument allows you to correctly and precisely adjust the tension in the blade of a sawmill band saw. It allows you to measure the internal tension of the blade between 0 and 1500 lbs (0 and 700 kg), which corresponds to the need for almost all blade models on the market. Unlike several other models of band saw tension measuring tool available on the market, the TensHOPs is not affected by the thickness or width of the blade, making it the most versatile instrument of its kind.

How it works?
The band saw blade tension shall be reduced after each sharpening in order to rise its the life span. Install directly onto the blade before applying tension. Depending on the dimensions and quality of your blade, a nominal stress value is provided by the blade manufacturer. With this information, we can determine the tension that should be applied to the blade after each sharpening. This tension will create a deflection measured in thousandths of an inch on the dial indicator. The deflection value is provided in a table supplied with the instrument.
